I learned many things about iMovie through this short tutorial. I learned basic things like adding picture, video and music into your movie. I also learned how to add a title and scrolling credits to the end of your movie. I learned how to add effects to your movie (mainly pictures) such as fade, fade to white/black, and many more.
What are titles and transitions?
You can insert a title to the beginning of your video to introduce what your video will be about. You can also add titles with a name over a video clip. For example, if you had interviews in your video you could put a title in the lower corner of the video clip that said their name and what they are in the video. (Ex. customer, employee, etc.)
A transition is something that you can add into iMovie to transition between pictures or video. There are numerous transitions to chose from when creating your movie. Some examples of transitions are fade to black/white, circle, wipe, etc. These are put into your movie in between two pictures/clips, transitioning through both pictures/clips.
Can you do voice - overs?
In iMovie, you are free to do voice overs when creating your movie. This tool allows you to record your voice and then place it anywhere in your video. This could be used in any type of video to create a more professional product.
