I recently finished my final picture edit for our photo shop unit. I learned a lot of new things during this unit. One of my favorite things was the clone stamping. The clone stamping is used to take a person/object out of the picture. For this, I used a picture of hot air balloons and our task was to erase all of the balloons from the picture. First I selected the clone stamp tool. Next I moved my curser next to a balloon and hit option click and it took a stamp of that part of the picture. Next I moved my curser over to the balloon where I continuously moved across the balloon clicking on it to erase the balloon. As I was going through the balloon, I option clicked multiple times to get a more accurate look at the end. Soon enough the sky began to show through the balloon and the balloon was gone. The clone stamp tool helps you to erase a person or object from a picture that is unwanted.
The second tool I really like was the cut out tool. This tool helps you to cut out a person or object from a picture so that there is not surrounding picture or background. For this I used a picture of one of the Nebraska Volleyball players. To do this I selected the lasso tool. The lasso tool helps you to draw a line around the object which will then cut it out of the photo. I drew a line with the lasso tool around the person in the picture. Then it removed the person from the picture. Next I used the blur tool to soften the edges of the picture and get rid of some of the excess background. The cut out tool helps you to cut out a person or object in a photo.
